TGLMAN

20 years here

Recently I noticed that this domain has been aging, what I mean by that, is that I bought this specific domain 20 years ago, let's go through its story:

It all come down to the moment I started to use internet, and I had to create an account, back in time services will not ask for your 'real name' but for a username, and it was normal to pick a username that was unique to you, but would not identify you too much OTK, and that's when I picked tglman.

A bit later I started playing with computers in a more advanced way than a usual user, more like a developer, and that's when I started to make my first website, back in time it was the age of 'free space hosting' there were a number of websites where you could go on and publish your website on a subdomain, and you can guess what was the subdomain, I did publish on a bunch of different servers, till the point I had the means to buy a domain, and here we are, I both tglman.com.

This domain saw and keep seeing a lot of my adventures, I wrote guides, hosted a forum, made a free web hosting, and had a bunch of user coming around and enjoying it, but time passed, and I could not manage the complexity anymore, so I did let it go a bit.

I did remove a lot of the early content long time ago, and now is going on more or less like my personal blog, even though I do not post often enough here this is my base domain for a lot of my things, now that is 20 years it's starting to have an emotional connection to me, as it went through with the most of my internet story with me, and I hope it will continue like that for a long future, as today though is not the only domain I have, I got a brother domain, tglman.org and a lot of other domains for the software and the services I build, and I do buy enough domains to make friends joking about it, but does not matter how many domains I buy, none is like the first one!
